I’ve never been what you would call overweight, but I never considered myself “in shape”. I have a collection at home of all the popular workout dvd sets, but I never but I never seemed to be able to get the results I wanted.

About a year ago, a friend and I tried a class at Mmaxout. I have to admit, I was scared. I thought for sure it would be too much for me and I would make a fool of myself. It was tough- I had never done so many pushups at one time in my life. Took me a few days to be able to go back, but I did. Now, a year later, I’m hooked! It really has changed my life. I am there at least 6 times a week, sometimes twice a day. I also changed my eating habits and I just feel so much better. I can actually see muscle definition where I had never seen it before with anything else I tried. The instructors at Mmaxout give you the encouragement you need to push yourself harder than you ever thought you could. Every class is different, and you leave feeling exhausted and energized at the same time! There’s nothing else like it!

How I Gained It: I am a stay-at-home mother of three. I was a type-2 diabetic and my blood sugar would get as high as 800. I didn’t care, because I loved to eat! I ate all day and sat around watching TV. I never said no to any food. I ate almost 6,000 calories a day. I ate late at night, right before bed, every day of my life.

Breaking Point: My last hospital visit was the worst. I lost my vision and it scared me. I asked God, “Please, I promise I will change if you give me back my sight.” When my sugars came back down to normal, I did.

How I Lost It: I joined MMAXOUT gym.

I want to take a minute to explain something here, and help new people or people interested in MMAXOUT understand why this place has it all.

I recently competed in a warrior dash, with obstacles, mud and water. Bruce posted my results on here and all I have heard throughout the past week was praise and acclamation from other members. Everyone who is a friend of MMAXOUT on facebook has seen us all talking about the workouts and how sore or hard they are, but it’s so much more than that.

Hamilton a trainer who has made awesome strides since he had started working out there, posted that I inspire him. Funny thing is everyday I see him and the progress he has made, he inspires me to work harder.

You don’t get that at golds or planet fitness. You don’t build a friendship with the guy next to you with no sleeves on yelling and bench pressing. The girl next to you running on the treadmill doesn’t CARE about you or what your doing.

At MMAXOUT I have built relationships and friendships with a bunch of different people, teachers, business owners, photographers and so on.
